Short introduction

The Glimpse of Kotor walking tour will take you to a brief, but memorable journey through Kotor Old Town.

This tour represents a shorter version of our classic Kotor sightseeing tour, designed for all of you who have a very limited time to spend in the city, but yet prefer a quick guided introduction to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

By all means the shiniest jewel in the crown of the Boka Kotorska (the Boka Bay), this small town which dates back from Illyrian period has developed into an important artistic and commercial centre in the Middle Ages. Different periods and cultures have left the clear mark in architectural mixture and atmosphere of the town.

Itinerary

Kotor tour begins at the main gate of the Kotor Old Town, also known as the Sea Gate (Morska vrata), where you will meet our guide at your chosen time.

The tour will take you inside the city gates; you will walk the streets of the Old Town of Kotor and hear the stories of:

  • The Square of Arms
  • Clock Tower
  • Flour Square with Pima and Buca palaces
  • St Tryphon Cathedral
  • The Bokelian Navy Square with Karampana
  • The St Luke Square with St Luke and St Nikola churches
  • St Mary of the River (the blessed Ozana)
  • Northern Gate with Skurda river

After the tour of the city you will return to the Square of Arms.
